I know. You’re probably saying, Tony, don’t tease me. Are we really going on a Middle School Retreat geared just for us? The answer is, Yes.
Executive Pastor - Our Staff

Rev. Roy W. Pallatt, Executive PastorRoy’s passion for ministry goes back to 1982 when God first called both Roy and his wife, Rita to pastoral ministry right out of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After a ten-year pastorate in Satellite Beach, Florida, the Lord opened the door for the Pallatt family to do church-planting in Singapore serving under the Evangelical Free Church of America - ReachGlobal mission, where with Rebekah, Ryan and Roger, they served for seven years. Both Rebekah and Ryan graduated from high school in Singapore. Their ministry path brought them all back to their home base in Melbourne, Florida in 2000. Roger received his high school diploma in 2001from the Brevard County Schools.

With all three children now making their own way as adults, Roy continues to serve ReachGlobal as East Asia Business Manager serving the countries of Japan, Hong Kong and Macau, China, Mongolia and the Philippines as well as a number of Creative Access areas.

In 2003, Roy and Rita joined the staff of LifeSong to lead and build in the area of Worship. As LifeSong’s new Executive Pastor, Roy is excited to see what God has in store for this church. Roy’s preaching and leadership reflects the “Centrality of God’s Word” and “Fruitful Evangelism” as a continuation of the legacy of LifeSong Community Church where “Spirit-filled Worship” is a powerful tool to unite us to see Christ build His Church... until He comes! This picture was taken on November 1, 2008 the day before the first of the concrete is poured. Keep in touch as we post more pictures of the progress. On Sunday, November 2 we are going place under the foundation all of the written Praises and Thanksgivings we wrote out last May. We are very committed that our foundation is Jesus Christ and we are here to glorify Him in all we do. We pray that this facility will be a lighthouse of Christ's love and truth, and a house of prayer and praise to the glory of God!

The Building Committee met on Friday, September 26 on the site and discussed the progress with Richie, the project manager from Winfree Contracting. Much of the underground water and drainage pipes are now in. With the Pumpkin Patch beginning in just one week, the committee was glad to hear the project manager be so supportive of this outreach and even volunteered to help unload the pallets when they are delivered to the site. Pastor Tony is coordinating with Richie on this as well as sign placement for the patch and other things as well.

Praise Band - Worship

Worship is one of the 5 "purposes" of LifeSong Community Church. When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, he answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matt. 22:37) That is what worship is all about and that we can do every day of our lives. The ministry of the Praise Band is to lead God's people in "loving the Lord" through melody, harmony and rhythm--through music.

Currently as we await the completion of our new "worship" center, we set up all our gear and practice every Sunday morning at Jupiter Middle School, starting 8:00 AM for set-up and practice from about 8:45 until 9:30 AM, with the worship service starting at 10:00 AM.

We are always looking for people who have a passion for worship through music. Just stop by and see Rita Pallatt for more information after the service on any Sunday.

LifeSong Community Church knows that a vibrant and powerful childrens ministry is a very important element to the health of any church family. As the Lord has us in a season of preparedness, we are praying that He will direct us according to his will, to a place where the children will be an important part of LifeSong's ministry. We are praying that as we are about to enter the new church building in Abacoa, Jupiter, that the Lord will send a servant with the heart for children; a servant who is excited about programming and cooridnating an exciting childrens program with decorations, puppets, crafts or whatever the Lords leads. We are also praying that God will provide a servant with the gift of giving that would help to supplement a salary for whoever the Lord leads.

Children are important to us. They are the future. They are the now. Please join us in prayer for these needs and ministry vacancies which we are currently in. If you or someone you know is looking for an opportunity to serve the Lord in this manner and would like more information about LifeSong church and our opportunities, please feel free to contact Youth Pastor, Tony Sorrell.

Currently all children are invited to attend the worship experience on Sunday mornings. Pastor Roy Pallatt challenges all children in fifth grade or younger, to listen to the sermon to take notes, or draw pictures of the theme of the message. The best one each week will receive a cash prize.

Associate Pastor of Youth and Community
Tony, and his wife Roseanna, moved to Jupiter in 2003 while attending Palm Beach Atlantic University. They began attending LifeSong Community in May of 2003 while Tony continued towards a degree in Social Ministry and Youth Ministry. Tony has worked with children and teenagers, both in a church and secular capacity since 1993 and felt God calling him into the ministry in August of 2000 while working with a youth ministry in Satellite Beach, Florida. Tony and Roseanna welcomed their first child, named Ella, on May 13, 2006 and have been blessed by her smile to this day.

Today, Tony and Roseanna work side by side to see that the teens and children here at LifeSong are ministered to on a level that they fully comprehend. They know that the majority of Christians claim they accept Jesus as their Savior while they were children and with that knowledge they strive to make sure that the gospel is revealed to them so that they too have that opportunity to come to know the Lord. Tony feels that "Our children are not the future generation of the church, they are the generation now." Both Tony and Roseanna look forward to continuing serving God and our children with LifeSong Community Church.

As a result of a study of Pastor Rick Warren's book, The Purpose Driven Church, our purpose is best stated in the following manner... To celebrate God's presence in WORSHIP... To communicate God's Word through EVANGELISM... To educate God's people through DISCIPLESHIP... To incorporate God's family into our FELLOWSHIP... To demonstrate God's love through MINISTRY-SERVICE-MISSION. And as a help in remembering each key word in this plural purpose, we think of it as a radio station: WED-FM.

The Evangelical Free Church of America - Our Denomination

Lifesong Community Church is a member of a church movement called The Evangelical Free Church of America, which is an association of more than 1,300 autonomous churches united by a mutual commitment to serve our Lord Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God. We are committed to cooperate with one another in ministry and fellowship as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission which Christ has entrusted to His Church. The growing ministry of the EFCA currently extends to some 45 countries of the world.

What Does "Evangelical" Mean?
The term Evangelical refers to our commitment to the proclamation of the Gospel and to the authority of Scriptures as being inerrant in the original writings and the only safe and sufficient guide to faith and practice.

What Does "Free" Mean?
The term Free refers to our form of church government as being congregational. Evangelical Free Churches depend upon the active participation of lay people in the decisions and directions.

The Vision from 2003 - Our Mission

It was back in 2002, at LifeSong's Annual Meeting, that a very difficult decision was reached--to be a church-plant in the new and growing area called, Abacoa. It is simultaneously exciting and difficult to be given a new vision from God. However, that is exactly what He has done at LifeSong Community Church. God has called this church to a new ministry, a new location, and a new beginning... and the journey has been long by today's standards; but not in biblical proportions.

A New Ministry: God desires two things from us to know Him and to obey Him. This, however, does not take place in a vacuum. Since we were created in God's Trinitarian image (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), we are by nature relational beings. Therefore, we have become a church of Growth Groups. In these smaller groups we come together in homes throughout the week to study God's Word, fellowship, support, serve, worship, and pray with one another. God desires the same two things (to know Him and to obey Him) for our community. Therefore, we have become an outwardly focused church striving to share, serve, and support the community in which God has placed us.

A New Location: God has cleared the way for His body of believers at LifeSong to have a physical presence within the Abacoa community. This physical presence rests on 4.6 acres within the community of Windsor Creek and Windsor Park. Within just a half mile radius of this location there are about 2,000 housing units.

A New Beginning: South Florida is and always will be a place of new beginnings as people continually relocate. Although God is unlimited, we are limited. Therefore, we will have many new beginnings also as we desire to reach the people He is directing to reach. We desire to be a part of starting many new churches, not just locally but globally too.

The fields are ripe for harvest. Will you join us in this harvest? We have almost arrived at that destination that began to take shape back in 2002. And when it comes, as the Lord's wills, it won't be an end... but a new beginning to GLORIFY GOD even more!

The following is our Statement of Faith as it has been for many years. In June 2008, the Evangelical Free Church of America completed a several year process of making some revisions to this statement, and as an EFCA member, we will be examining these changes. (See www.efca.org to read the newly adopted Statement of Faith) 1. The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the Divine and final authority for Christian faith and life.
2. In one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. That Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
4. That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
5. That man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
6. That the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and, thus become children of God.
7. That water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation.
8. That the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.
9. That only those who are, thus, members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.
10. That Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church and that every local church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs.
11. In the personal and premillennial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "Blessed Hope" has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
12. In the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

What do we Value? - Our Mission

    1. God's Word.
We believe that the 66 books of the Bible (God’s Word) are inspired of God, and have tremendous implications for our lives. If God lays claim over our lives (and He does), then what He has revealed to us has both authority over us and relevance to us. His Word lights up our life’s path with wisdom for right living. Studying, understanding, and living out God’s Word is extremely important to us.
2. Authentic Worship.
When asked, “What is the greatest commandment?” Jesus replied, “Love God as much as you possibly can.” (see Luke 10:27) Worshiping God is our expression of love for Him. This worship can be demonstrated in a church service or any time at all, in all we do. In our worship we seek to be real. We want our worship to be from the heart, not just a religious routine, done out of a sense of duty. That’s what we mean by authentic .
3. Incarnational Living.
When Jesus came to earth He was God in the flesh. Not only did He tell us how to live, He showed us. When Jesus returned to Heaven, He gave us the task of telling and showing others what God is like. We are not divine as Jesus was, but we strive to live out our lives day by day showing people the love of God that comes from Jesus.
4. Intentional Relationships.
As followers of Jesus we know that meaningful relationships are of crucial importance, but they don’t just happen automatically. As Christians we are to love one another, and we are to seek to show others the way to God through Jesus. Jesus himself said that the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as much as you love yourself. This means we work diligently to treat others with dignity and respect, loving them as much as we possibly can.
5. Healthy Families.
The most basic human institutions are marriage and the family. If our families are healthy and strong, our church “family” will be healthy and strong. This will even have an effect on our neighborhoods and communities. Being a good parent and having a strong marriage is not easy, so we want to give support to families as well as individuals as we all grow together.

What comes to mind when you think about Growth Groups? Maybe reading the Bible, answering questions, gathering in someone’s home, and eating good desserts. What about organizing service projects in the community, creating welcome baskets for newcomers to LifeSong, or serving food to the needy? God has placed a desire upon Barb Feller to reach out into the community more than just once a meeting session. So she is doing something about that desire and organizing LifeSong’s first Women’s Service Group. It is exciting to see the way this group reaches out to our community. If you are interested in this group, contact Barb Feller.

We believe in order to become bigger we must become smaller. This allows us to keep a sense of community in the midst of a growing congregation. We want a place where people feel connected and have close friendships. We also believe a high level of commitment helps in our growth towards Christlikeness. Therefore it is our intention as we grow to encourage everyone at LifeSong to connect in a small group context in order to grow in Christ.

So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. (1 Corinthians 3:7)Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. (2 Corinthians 10:15-16)

We empower our growth group leaders and hosts to organize their growth groups according to the felt needs of that group. If you are interested in learning more about our current groups or joining a group contact Roy Pallatt.

JAMS SESSION - Every Tuesday night, the WaveRunners middle schoolers (Grades 6-8) meet at Jupiter Christian School's Dr.Pepper/7-Up center at 6:00p.m. We'll join together for a group game and activity for a while, then have a time of announcements and snacks. Later we'll rejoin for another activity and a 30-40 minute lesson. The lessons are topical and relate to modern day adolescent issues. Don’t forget to bring a few dollars for snacks and drinks. Unlike the High School Lite Night Meeting, students will NOT be leaving the campus for dinner.

A typical night will be as follows:
6:00p-6:15p Welcome.
6:15p-6:45p Game
6:45p-7:00p Announcements/Snacks
7:00p-7:30p Game/Activity
7:30p-8:00p Lesson.

They recorded one self- titled CD with all original songs written by two of the students with guidance and direction from Rita. Rita enjoys writing worship songs and children’s books and expanding her abilities as an artist.

Her desire as a worship leader is to encourage others to grow in their faith through worshipping our Lord and Savior not only on Sunday mornings but every day in their walk with Him and to always be aware of His presence. 1 Corinthians 10:31 - "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Ephesians 5:18b-20 - "Be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

The Pallatts now live in Stuart, FL and have three grown children and two young grandsons. She has been part of the LifeSong family as Worship Leader since February 2003.

Students will be held accountable if they so wish to assure that they are staying committed in their personal discipleship with the Lord. This meeting is really meant for those who are eager to learn and grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. We meet from 9:00 to 9:45 on Sunday mornings and encourage those ready to learn and discuss to attend.
