What a great time we had on the 4th of July! Even the showers didn't put out the glow of fellowship. Hot Dogs with all the fixin's, along with some fun table games... and then watching all around the church, the fireworks displays ending with the Roger Dean Stadium show. Praising the Lord for His blessings on this nation.

We have wanted to have a baptism for a long time and with much joy, after church, Sunday, February 21, six candidates were baptized at Dubois Park in Jupiter, FL. Pastor Tony assisted by Pastor Roy baptized Alison, Page, Amanda, Janette, and Dustin, and TG Heninger, assisted by Pastor Tony, baptized Brandon. A time of fellowship at the park followed the baptism, with thanks to Jen Hart for preparing hot dogs and all the fixin's. We are already talking about our next baptism. What a joy it is when believers take that step of obedience and follow the Lord in baptism.

No Title - Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith - Adopted by the Conference on June 26, 2008

The Evangelical Free Church of America is an association of autonomous churches united around these theological convictions:

1. God - We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.

2. The Bible - We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.

3. The Human Condition - We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God's saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled and renewed.

4. Jesus Christ - We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus-Israel's promised Messiah-was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

5. The Work of Christ - We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed His blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His atoning death and victorious resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation.

6. The Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.

7. The Church - We believe that the true church comprises all who have been justified by God's grace through faith alone in Christ alone. They are united by the Holy Spirit in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. The true church is manifest in local churches, whose membership should be composed only of believers. The Lord Jesus mandated two ordinances, baptism and the Lord's Supper, which visibly and tangibly express the gospel. Though they are not the means of salvation, when celebrated by the church in genuine faith, these ordinances confirm and nourish the believer.

8. Christian Living - We believe that God's justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God's Word, the Spirit's power, and fervent prayer in Christ's name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ's commission, we are to make disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.

9. Christ's Return - We believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.

10. Response and Eternal Destiny - We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen.

With the graduation of almost 20 graduates in the last two years, our high school students have all but about gone. So Lite Nite, (the high school youth meeting) is taking a little break. We are going to focus our resources on the Middle Schoolers. So we are going to invite the high schoolers to visit the JAMS Session on Tuesdays from 6-8 until we are ready to reactivate the high school meeting. You're maturity will be a huge asset to the younger students.

On April 4, 2010, LifeSong celebrated our first Easter in the new building at 1022 Community Drive in Abacoa. Attendance swelled even for our small congregation. It was made special by the completion of our new cross in the sanctuary. This picture shows how two rotting pieces of wood that a few weeks before were laying in private land here in Florida, could be transformed into a symbol of what Jesus Christ did on a cross nearly 2000 years ago. We are thankful to everyone who helped build this beautiful work of art, for the glory of God, especially Rita Pallatt for her design and supervision of the work.

(September 10, 2009) Painting has begun (and almost finished in the sanctuary) and has brought the interior of the church building to life. The A/C vents are all installed and we are running out of things that need to be finished. After the painting goes the carpet. Things are moving fast. Pray that we are in long before the pumpkin patch begins.

We are very committed that our foundation is Jesus Christ and we are here to glorify Him in all we do. The Building Committee met on Friday, September 26 on the site and discussed the progress with Richie, the project manager from Winfree Contracting. Much of the underground water and drainage pipes are now in. With the Pumpkin Patch beginning in just one week, the committee was glad to hear the project manager be so supportive of this outreach and even volunteered to help unload the pallets when they are delivered to the site. Pastor Tony is coordinating with Richie on this as well as sign placement for the patch and other things as well.

Children are very important to us at LifeSong. Though our facilities are limited, we have a Children's Room for Children's Church and Nursery from babies through 4th grade during the Celebration Service at 10:30 AM. From nursery to pre-school and through fifth grade, we are seeking to develop other ministries that partner with parents to be a blessing to these ages. Rita Pallatt oversees the LifeSong Children Ministry.

Rita serves as Worship Leader at LifeSong Community Church and is also the Fine Arts Director at Community Christian Academy in Stuart, FL where she teaches art, guitar, and instrumental music along with band. She graduated from Jamestown College (ND) with a BA in Art and minor in Music. She also received her Master of Arts in Religion with emphasis in Worship Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

With her husband, Roy, they served as church planters in Singapore with ReachGlobal (Evangelical Free Church of America) and before that they served a pastorate at Oceanside Community Church in Satellite Beach, FL. In the Satellite Beach and in the Singapore Ministries, Rita formed and directed worship teams, youth bands, and puppet teams. They recorded one self- titled CD with all original songs written by two of the students with guidance and direction from Rita. Rita enjoys writing worship songs and children’s books and expanding her abilities as an artist.

Her desire as a worship leader is to encourage others to grow in their faith through worshipping our Lord and Savior not only on Sunday mornings but every day in their walk with Him and to always be aware of His presence. 1 Corinthians 10:31 - "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Ephesians 5:18b-20 - "Be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

The Pallatts now live in Stuart, FL and have three grown children and three young grandsons. She has been part of the LifeSong family as Worship Leader since February 2003.

Worship is one of the 5 "values" of LifeSong Community Church. When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, he answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matt. 22:37) That is what worship is all about and that we can do every day of our lives. The ministry of the Praise Band is to lead God's people in "loving the Lord" through melody, harmony and rhythm--through music.

Associate Pastor of Youth and Community
Tony, and his wife Roseanna, moved to Jupiter in 2003 while attending Palm Beach Atlantic University. They began attending LifeSong Community in May of 2003 while Tony continued towards a degree in Social Ministry and Youth Ministry. Tony has worked with children and teenagers, both in a church and secular capacity since 1993 and felt God calling him into the ministry in August of 2000 while working with a youth ministry in Satellite Beach, Florida. Tony and Roseanna welcomed their first child, named Ella, on May 13, 2006 and have been blessed by her smile to this day.

Today, Tony and Roseanna work side by side to see that the teens and young adults here at LifeSong are ministered to on a level appropriate to their age. They know that the majority of Christians claim they accepted Jesus as their Savior while they were young and with that knowledge they strive to make sure that the gospel is relevant to them and that all have the opportunity to come to know the Lord or be growing in Him. Tony feels that "Our young people are not the future generation of the church, they are the generation now." Both Tony and Roseanna look forward to continuing serving God and our youth and young adults with LifeSong Community Church.

Rev. Roy W. Pallatt, Executive PastorRoy’s passion for ministry goes back to 1982 when God first called both Roy and his wife, Rita to pastoral ministry right out of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After a ten-year pastorate in Satellite Beach, Florida, the Lord opened the door for the Pallatt family to do church-planting in Singapore serving under the Evangelical Free Church of America - ReachGlobal mission, where with Rebekah, Ryan and Roger, they served for seven years. Both Rebekah and Ryan graduated from high school in Singapore. Their ministry path brought them all back to their home base in Melbourne, Florida in 2000. Roger received his high school diploma in 2001 from the Brevard County Schools.

With all three children now making their own way as adults, Roy continues to serve ReachGlobal as Division Business Manager serving the countries of Japan, Hong Kong and Macau, China, Mongolia and the Philippines as well as a number of Creative Access areas.

In 2003, Roy and Rita joined the staff of LifeSong to lead and build in the area of Worship. As LifeSong’s new Executive Pastor, Roy is excited to see what God has in store for this church. Roy’s preaching and leadership reflects the “Centrality of God’s Word” and “Fruitful Evangelism” as a continuation of the legacy of LifeSong Community Church where “Spirit-filled Worship” is a powerful tool to unite us to see Christ build His Church... until He comes!
Our Five Values - Our Mission

As a result of a study of Pastor Rick Warren's book, The Purpose Driven Church, we have adapted his purposes to our context as Five Values, stated in the following manner... The celebration of God's presence in WORSHIP... The communication of God's Word through EVANGELISM... The education of God's people through DISCIPLESHIP... The incorporation of God's family into FELLOWSHIP... and, The demonstration of God's love through MISSION, Service and Ministry. As a help in remembering each key word, we think of this as a radio station: WED-FM.

The Vision from 2003 - Our Mission

It was back in 2002, at LifeSong's Annual Meeting, that a very difficult decision was reached--to be a church-plant in the new and growing area called, Abacoa. It is simultaneously exciting and difficult to be given a new vision from God. However, that is exactly what He has done at LifeSong Community Church. God has called this church to a new ministry, a new location, and a new beginning... and the journey has been long by today's standards; but not in biblical proportions.

A New Ministry: God desires two things from us to know Him and to obey Him. This, however, does not take place automatically. Since we were created in God's Trinitarian image (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), we are by nature relational beings. Therefore, we have come to recognize that church is "vertical" in that we desire to love the Lord our God fully, and "horizontal" in that we intentionally seek to relate to one another in loving, supporting and encouraging ways, as we grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus and in His Spirit. Therefore, we are committed to both our vertical and horizontal activities as believers.

A New Location: God has cleared the way for us at LifeSong to have a physical presence within the Abacoa community. This physical presence rests on 4.6 acres within the community of Windsor Creek and Windsor Park. Within just a half mile radius of this location there will soon be about 2,000 housing units and we are called to minister and serve these people as a lighthouse of God's transforming power.

A New Beginning: South Florida is and always will be a place of new beginnings as people continually relocate. Although God is unlimited, we are limited. Therefore, we will have many new beginnings as we seek to reach the people He is directing us to reach. We desire to be a part of starting new churches, not just locally but globally as well... PASSION... VISION... MISSION.

The fields are ripe for harvest. We invite you to be a part of this great adventure. We have arrived at a destination point that began to take shape back in 2002. The Lord has opened the door for us to enter 1022 Community Drive. This is a new beginning TO GLORIFY GOD even more!

How our values are worked out - Our Mission

      1. God's Word.
We believe that the 66 books of the Bible (God’s Word) are inspired of God, and have tremendous implications for our lives. If God lays claim over our lives (and He does), then what He has revealed to us has both authority over us and relevance to us. His Word lights up our life’s path with wisdom for right living. Studying, understanding, and living out God’s Word is extremely important to us.
2. Authentic Worship.
When asked, “What is the greatest commandment?” Jesus replied, “Love God as much as you possibly can.” (see Luke 10:27) Worshiping God is our expression of love for Him. This worship can be demonstrated in a church service or any time at all, in all we do. In our worship we seek to be real. We want our worship to be from the heart, not just a religious routine, done out of a sense of duty. That’s what we mean by authentic.
3. Incarnational Living.
When Jesus came to earth He was God in the flesh. Not only did He tell us how to live, He showed us. When Jesus returned to Heaven, He gave us the task of telling and showing others what God is like. We are not divine as Jesus was, but we strive to live out our lives day by day showing people the love of God that comes from Jesus.
4. Intentional Relationships.
As followers of Jesus we know that meaningful relationships are of crucial importance, but they don’t just happen automatically. As Christians we are to love one another, and we are to seek to show others the way to God through Jesus. Jesus himself said that the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as much as you love yourself. This means we work diligently to treat others with dignity and respect, loving them as much as we possibly can.
5. Healthy Families.
The most basic human institutions are marriage and the family. If our families are healthy and strong, our church “family” will be healthy and strong. This will even have an effect on our neighborhoods and communities. Being a good parent and having a strong marriage is not easy, so we want to give support to families as well as individuals as we all grow together.

There will be larger events for refreshment and outreach and smaller common interest gatherings designed to build relationships and interests among women with the intent to grow in the Lord. This statement sums it up... "We befriend women and give them a place to belong so they will come to believe in Jesus and become more like Him." Contact Barb Feller for more information on how you can give, support, pray for or be involved in this wonderful ministry.

The Evangelical Free Church of America - Our Denomination

Lifesong Community Church is a member of a church movement called The Evangelical Free Church of America, which is an association of more than 1,300 autonomous churches united by a mutual commitment to serve our Lord Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God. We are committed to cooperate with one another in ministry and fellowship as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission which Christ has entrusted to His Church. The growing ministry of the EFCA currently extends to some 45 countries of the world.

What Does "Evangelical" Mean?
The term Evangelical refers to our commitment to the proclamation of the Gospel and to the authority of Scriptures as being inerrant in the original writings and the only safe and sufficient guide to faith and practice.

What Does "Free" Mean?
The term Free refers to our form of church government as being congregational. Evangelical Free Churches depend upon the active participation of lay people in each local congregation, without "denominational" control.

We desire to develop a sense of community in the midst of a growing congregation. We want a place where people feel connected and have close friendships. Therefore it is our intention as we grow to encourage everyone at LifeSong to connect in a small group context in order to grow in Christ.

"So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." (1 Corinthians 3:7)

"Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you." (2 Corinthians 10:15-16)

As we grow we want to empower group leaders and hosts to organize their groups according to the felt needs of that group. If you are interested in LifeSong small groups, please contact Pastor Roy Pallatt.
